Share as much as you can of successes, students accolades and statistics about why your school is thriving. And do it more often than your asks. As Catholics, we are taught to be humble and to lift those that are most in need. But sometimes we get so caught up in the good works that we are doing, we lose sight of our own accomplishments. Big or small, you might know that something went well or made a tremendous impact at your organization. But that does not mean that your supporters know about it. Our primary job is to focus on accomplishing our mission, yes. But your donors are the reason you can continue to exists and work towards that mission. Let them know everything! Like they say about publicity, any PR is good PR. So take a few minutes each day to think about what you achieved and find a way to share that news.
Tips for social posts:
Include something visually interesting-photo or video, even a weblink. This will capture viewers attention and drive them to read your post.
Tag appropriate entities- people, businesses, organizations. This more tags, the more viewers, the more potential connections to you!
Double down, if you can. If it makes sense, turn a post include an article for your website. (Or Vice versa, make each newsletter article a social post.) Your social platforms and website don’t need to be a perfect match, but traffic to one can boost traffic to the other, if your give the reader an options to cross from one to the other.
